Kitty Bungalow Charm School Bus Animal Transport and Outreach Mobile

The Kitty Bungalow Charm School Bus will allow us to roll into low income areas and provide them with: *free transportation to vet for free spay/neuters *pop up outreach events providing needed animal ownership education *additional transportation of feral cats to vet for TNR

How will you use the $2,500?

This eye-catching bus spreads the positive message of pet adoption, spay neuter & responsible pet ownership, while providing needed transportation for those who love their animals but can’t get them to the vet. We will triple the amount of animals we get fixed with a larger vehicle as we help quell the cat overpopulation in lower income areas.

Outreach events allow us to reach a broader community; providing free vet access & pet resource education to the community; we help create a tighter bond between the community & their pets, helping to lower the need and rate of return in the South Los Angeles area where 75% of shelter cats are killed each year.

The $2500 will pay for the van “school bus” and safe animal transport modifications.

It breaks my heart when I hear that my south L.A. neighbors want to be responsible pet owners but can't get to the vet because they can't take their cat on the bus or train, and have no way to transport a cat on a bicycle. This van would be doing important work, and it's an all-volunteer organization so all of the benefit goes to the animals. Please support this with your vote!.

I love thison many levels - one don't have to put the cat in the car. Two -so many lower income neighborhoods have animals that have become stray/semi feral once they transition from cute kitten to mature animal in heat. Three -mobile rocks! I run a program for kids called the Mobile Film Classroom. Lets get all the mobile non profits together with some food trucks for a block party style fundraiser.

I love cats as much as the next guy, but I have to tell you, don't ever let them drive. They fall asleep if they turn into the sunbeams or if they pass a squirrel or gecko, well, its over....

I adopted my cat Mickey from the Bungalow in October of 2011. It has been so much fun watching him grow up into a well socialized and cute (young) adult cat. The folks at the Bungalow, especially Headmistress Simmons, are some of the most committed TNR and rescue people I've ever met. I'm so lucky to have found them and continue to support them because I truly believe in what they're doing.

We have a similar program in Sun Valley, NV and it's a fantastic service to the community. Transportation had always been an issue because it was free spay/neuter but no transport. The van will help more people utilize your program and stop the excuse of 'I have no way to get my cat there'. Outreach education is just as important. Great idea! I sincerely hope you get the funding!
